Bypass
Isolation SwitchesRusselectric bypass isolation switches combine all the functions of a closed transition automatic transfer switch (ATS), plus a method for manually bypassing power from a dead source to a live source in the event the transfer switch is disabled. This allows the ATS to be isolated and deenergized for maintenance, repair, or testing purposes. The ATS is standard open transition (closed transition optional). The bypass isolation switch and transfer switch are identical devices with the same construction and electrical ratings. Its true draw out construction allows easy, safe removal of transfer switch without the need for electrical or mechanical operation.

- Load Break Bypass Version - protects against accidental short circuiting of power sources and features fully mechanical operation
- Overlapping Load Bypass Version - allows bypass with no load

Medium Voltage Automatic Transfer SwitchesRusselectric medium voltage automatic transfer switches (RMVT) are modern, high-speed switching devices designed to transfer electrical loads from a normal power source to an emergency power source upon reduction or loss of voltage and to retransfer loads when normal power is restored. The RMVT uses a sealed high speed, electromagnetically-actuated contactor assembly to perform an automatic open transition transfer.
