Who We Are
The Arthur N. Ulrich Company was founded in 1958 and today is a third generation family-owned, operated and managed manufacturer’s representative agency located in Pataskala, OH. We specialize in the technical application and sale of high integrity prime and backup electrical power systems for a variety of critical infrastructure needs in the healthcare, railroad, financial, utility, telecom, education, industrial and data processing fields.
Our History
Over the past 60+ years the company has grown from one employee in a rented storage room in downtown Columbus, OH, to a multi-person, multi-million dollar sales agency with a custom office building and sophisticated selling and customer support systems. Throughout our history we have been instrumental in the introduction of many new types and designs of batteries, battery chargers, ups systems, renewable energy systems and power control systems.
RedHawk Energy Systems LLC,
Is a value-added manufacturing subsidiary of the Arthur N. Ulrich Company. RedHawk helps commercial and industrial customers tackle their critical prime and back-up wayside power challenges with fully engineered and innovative solutions ranging from a few watts to several kilowatts.
Our Team
Jim Ulrich
President/CEO
Joined the company in 1974 and is currently President/CEO taking over for Tom Ulrich who has retired. Jim handles sales & corporate management, contract decisions and is also responsible for Central Ohio and many national railroad accounts.
Tom Ulrich
Retired – Special Projects
Joined the company in 1973, former President/CEO who is now retired. Tom still serves on several industry boards and works on various projects as needed.
Bill Ulrich
Sr. Outside Sales
Joined the company in 1977 and is currently a senior outside sales agent. Bill is responsible for Northeast Ohio and is transitioning to retirement in Q2/Q3 2022. Mark Gibson will be taking over Bill’s territory.
John Ulrich
Sr. Outside Sales
Joined the company in 1977 and is currently a senior outside sales agent. John is responsible for Western Pennyslvania and West Virginia.
Tim Ulrich
Sr. Outside Sales
Joined the company in 2005 and is currently an outside sales agent. Tim is responsible for Southern Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Matt Ulrich
Sr. Rail Sales – Eastern US & Canada
Joined the company in 2008 and is currently an outside sales agent for national rail/transit accounts. Matt is also responsible for all marketing functions (trade shows, web/graphic design, marketing collateral, etc.).
Kevin Dennis
Sr. Outside Sales
Joined the company in 2019 and is currently an outside sales agent. Kevin was formerly with APC/Schneider for 15+ years. Kevin is responsible for Northwestern Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
Robby Johnson
Rail Sales – Western US
Joined the company in July 2022 and is currently an outside sales agent for national rail/transit accounts, primarily US accounts West of the Mississippi River.
Kyle Snider
Inside Sales
Joined the company in 1999 and is currently an inside sales agent. Kyle is responsible for customer quotations, orders and logistical support of Jim Ulrich and Tim Ulrich.
Mark Gibson
Sr. Outside Sales
Joined the company in 2022 and is currently a senior outside sales agent. Mark is assuming Bill Ulrich’s Northeast Ohio territory as Bill Ulrich transitions to retirement in Q2/Q3 2022.
Joe Ulrich
Inside Sales
Joined the company in 2013 and is currently an inside sales agent. Joe is responsible for customer quotations, orders and logistical support for Bill Ulrich and Mark Gibson.
Mark Ulrich
Project Engineer – RedHawk Energy
Joined the company in 2008 and is currently a project engineer for our subsidiary company – RedHawk Energy Systems, LLC. Mark is responsible for project design, engineering and development.
Judy Salyer
Office Management & Executive Assistant
Joined the company in 1998 and is currently an inside office manager and corporate assistant. Judy is responsible for orders and logistical support, as well as office management.
Kandee Engle
Inside Sales
Joined the company in 1992 and is currently an inside sales agent. Kandee is responsible for customer quotations, orders and logistical support for national railroad accounts and John Ulrich.
Kim Snider
Receptionist
Joined the company in 2015 and is currently the office receptionist. Kim is responsible for order processing, filing, shipping, sales support and greeting customers.
